Overprotective Parents ruining my summer?

I'm a 16 year old boy, and I've had this problem every year. My parents NEVER let me hang out with friends, and my mom even canceled my phone service! All my friends are going to Disneyland and Six flags and the beach and just hanging out, they don't drink or do drugs, and almost always there's a parent driving us. But my mom told me she doesn't want me to get killed or kidnapped. So I just sit around the house all day. My friends were at the park 5 minutes away from my house and my mom wouldn't let me out! And the only time I ever go ANYWHERE is with my parents. The fair, themeparks, the mall, stores. It's embarrassing! I'm not saying I'll like only hang with friends, but I really miss them. How can I convince my parents to let me out of this prison house and let me be a normal teen? Everytime I calmly talk to them they just yell at me and show me all these kids dying, and they remind me of my friend who passed away in a car crash last year. I seriously hate them. So, what can I tell them to let me have some freedom?
