Does he like me or like like me?

well, we've been friends for quite a while now. every day he calls me to sit with him or he comes and sits with me. we talk n joke around n have loads of fun. in lunch he literally rushes to save a seat for me next to him. (not exagerating) we hav alot of things in common and there asnt been any fights/arguements between us so far. i get along better with guys but ppl say we should date. i have a boyfriend n he knows that. he know. i love him but as my bff. a couple weeks ago my friends dared me to ask him to go to prom with me. i took advantage n asked him just to see wat he would say. he looked confused n turned red but said no. i figured he got embarrassed so i said just kidding they dared me n he was like o ok. but ever since then i noticed he sits closer to me n talks to me more on fb idk if that did somthin or if he jus likes to talkin to me but i nevr noticed until now bcz of how my friends told me h likes me. can anyone help me mak sense of this? maybe im just blind or ignoring it but i need some more opinions n thoughts :) all thoughts welcomed
